Nicneven is a Celtic, presumably Scottish goddess who is often associated with Samhain, a Celtic festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. She is the goddess of darkness and magic, of the hunt and of war.
She takes the form and appearance of an old woman or a young girl to reach and strike her prey. She is frequently depicted with a broom or magic staff, as well as with a crow or owl by her side.
These are its main attributes.
