Carolyn Prof. Dr. Kay

She is a history professor at Trent University in Ontario, Canada, whose courses address modern Germany, the Holocaust and comparative genocide. Her publications include “German Children’s Art during World War I,” in Global Studies of Childhood (2021) and the book Art and the German Bourgeoisie (University of Toronto Press, 2002). In addition, she has published many articles on the history of German childhood in Imperial Germany. She is currently at work on a book assessing the impact of World War One upon German children, as expressed in children’s drawings.
